I'm not normally a big BDM fan (old school death metal mostly), but these guys hooked me from the first notes. I found them listed in someone's feed thought I'd give these Ausies a try. Excellent drumming, great bass player, great riffs! Enough melody to keep me interested. Closest bands I could think of to compare them to would be a more brutal Ulcerate or Psycroptic. 2 Big thumbs up!
Favorite track: The Decaying Light.
i never get tired of listen to this album! every song is perfect! i look forward to hearing new material from these guys and being able to see them live in Europe!
Favorite track: Centuries of Deluge.
In a diverse genre such as metal, who could think that a brutal death metal album could possible be album of the year 2019?
Disentomb might have done it with "The Decaying Light". Brutal as trench warfare with enought twist and turns to keep your attention.
In their 10th year since conception, Disentomb now stands as one of the most unique and commanding bands in modern death metal. The pursuit of unrelentingly brutal death metal has lead them down a dark and twisted path and into a unique sound completely unlike their beginnings, combining lacerating energy with a bleak dissonance that embodies a focused sonic malice like no other. Following on from 2010’s Sunken Chambers of Nephilim and 2014’s breakout Misery, the band’s long-awaited third album The Decaying Light features 13 tracks of doomed out brutality, undoubtedly their most accomplished and suffocating work to date. The July 12, 2019 release date will be facilitated by worldwide death metal institution Unique Leader (Europe/USA) and EVP Recordings (Australia). With new material and literal years of global road training now behind them, the four-piece will take their high-energy and visceral performance to five Australian cities in July to showcase a new era in a band that has cemented themselves as an explosion of metal muscle not to miss.

Ulcerate possess a very unique sound. An ether creeping through a forest on a far away planet. A forest that would appear dead to those not equipped to see it's beauty. Life disguised as decay. Death's dreams, aurally incarnate. A rogue wave filled with anesthetized daggers knocks you into the most congenial coffin, and this is what you hear as you fade out with a smile.
There, I tried. All pretentiousness aside, this band kills. That guitar...wow. Heavy stuff. Brian Rossini
