Aaron Baxter Excellent combo of hardcore, thrash, and grind, super freaking heavy

twasfail Why listen to J-pop when you can have this??? In all seriousness, this album is wonderfully written, preformed, mixed, and it is paced like a dream. None of the songs overstay their welcome and they each have their own distinct identity. The slow songs are mysterious and menacing, and the fast ones will have you furiously air-drumming and air-guitaring like a feind! Truly a must-listen. Favorite track: 音我苦-ONGAKU-.

Elina Odegard Wow. This punk/hardcore/metal hybrid with a touch of Southern groove is done with perfect precision! Highly recommended!

Matthew Lowery To Live Is to Die, To Die Is to Live is a relentlessly brutal, monumentally pissed-off beast of a record. It’s heavy, venomous, and uncompromising. The blend of styles from hardcore punk to sludge metal and death metal creates a rich tapestry of influences and sounds. One of the best albums of 2018.

For fans of Nails, Converge, and All Pigs Must Die. Favorite track: Only Ego.

warren barton This album shreds all competition and smashes it's way into your senses of disbelief of how heavy Palm's music is. To Live Is To Die, To Die Is To Live is one of my fave records so far. Favorite track: Dedicated To Humanity.

about

‘To Live Is To Die, To Die Is To Live’ - mortality simultaneously embraced, denied, and then torn to shreds in a deeply condensed and violent flurry of human darkness. Hailing from Osaka, Japan - Palm belay the gritty underground of the hypermodern metropolis they call home, having grown to become both leaders of and ambassadors for their local scene since forming in the year 2000. This latest offering is the band’s third full-length album, and ‘To Live Is To Die, To Die Is To Live’ seethes with punk attitude, southern flavour, and death metal aesthetics, while delivering a sharp focus on what they do best - savage blast beats, off-kilter transitions, and unforgiving riffs designed to damage floors and eardrums.

‘To Live Is To Die, To Die Is To Live’ was Mixed and mastered by Taylor Young (of Nails and Twitching Tongues) at The Pit, California.
